What a precious child

This will be a short post as Internet is severely limited right now. However, after an all night train ride and a few stops this morning in Simferopol, we finally met Sophia. We had a great first meeting filled with all kinds of emotions. I will tell the story tomorrow when we get our modem and I'll post pictures of our first day. We have no doubt that we can love this child, but we are going to have to work with her current situation. She is beautiful, intelligent, articulate (she was helping me with my Russian pronunciation and verb conjugation), but she is a quiet girl. I'm gonna chalk the last one up to meeting complete strangers and the reality of what's happening starting to hit home. We're are exhausted physically, mentally, and emotionally right now.
